Bubur Lemak ala kak elle style .....
You'll need onions,garlic,dried prawns and 1 inch of ginger.
Chicken fillet(cut into cubes) or you can use minced meat and mixed veges.
Boil 1/2 cup rice with water and the 1/2inch bruised ginger and dried prawns ......once the porridge is almost done add in the sliced onions,garlic,chicken and mixed veges.
Stir in 2 tablespoon of santan.
Continue to cook till meat tender in slow fire.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Taraaaaaaaaaaa this is kak elle bubur lemak .... garnished with egg omelette,fried shallots and spring onion.

kanji is different pasal ni I add santan bab tu panggil bubur lemak.

OOOO..kat SIngapore panggil "kanji" utk yg tak bubuh santan yer? Kat Penang we all panggil "kanji" untuk yg bubuh santan jugak macam orang KL panggil bubur lambuk.Macam2 nama untuk benda yg sama :-D

in sg kalau bubur biasa mmg kanji but yg ni I sendiri panggil bubur lemak others bubur lambuk...hahaha...*pening*eh too many names for same thing?

yg kat masjid ada macam2 style and mostly dia org masak ikut style middle east/pakistan .... kebanyakan taruk rempah kari,ketumbar/jintan etc....never like it!!!!
